Where athleticism meets authorship—and every child becomes a leader in their own story.

The Goal Getters & Story Makers Program is a transformational experience that blends the energy of sports with the creativity of storytelling. Co-founded by children’s book author Justin Ford and professional soccer player Channing Chasten, this program is designed to inspire, challenge, and empower kids to dream big, set goals, and speak their truth.

Through high-energy soccer training and powerful creative writing workshops, students strengthen their bodies, minds, and voices—gaining tools they’ll carry for life. But it doesn’t stop there.

By the end of the program, every child becomes a published author—holding a hardcover book they wrote and illustrated themselves. This one-of-a-kind experience shows kids that their stories matter, their goals are within reach, and they have the power to achieve anything they set their minds to.

What the Program Includes

The Goal Getters & Story Makers Program is a flexible, high-impact experience designed to ignite creativity, build confidence, and inspire young people through the combined power of sports and storytelling. Whether delivered in one day or across multiple sessions, the program follows a dynamic structure that engages both mind and body.

    • Students are welcomed into an energetic, supportive environment where growth and fun go hand in hand.

    • The program kicks off with soccer drills and team-building exercises led by pro athlete Channing Chasten.

    • Kids learn to set personal and athletic goals, developing focus, resilience, and a winning mindset.

    • Storytelling begins as students are introduced to the creative process using their Young Author Activity Guides.

    • Students explore their voice through guided writing prompts and character-building activities led by author Justin Ford.

    • They begin writing their own stories while illustrating their ideas with imagination and purpose.

    • Along the way, they strengthen literacy, build confidence, and learn how to shape their unique point of view.

    • Once stories are complete, students transfer their work to official publishing templates for formatting.

    • Each student’s story is turned into a professionally printed hardcover book with their name on the cover.
